Repairs will be charged $50/hour for labor and diagnostics (2 hour minimum) plus the prices of repaired parts and return shipping and handling costs. Limitations of This Water Shut-Off System

While this is an advanced design water shut-off system, it does not offer guaranteed protection against sudden or accidental discharge of water from a plumbing system. Any automatic water shut-off system, whether commercial or residential, is subject to compromise or failure to warn or activate for a variety of reasons. Examples may include:

  • Water intrusion from sources external to the plumbing supply system such as; gravity drain systems, rain, hurricane, storm water, sewer back-up, swimming pools, spas, thawing snow and ice, ice dams, HVAC condensation, freezer defrosting, softener recirculation cycles, etc.
  • Water valves and the Flo-Guard controller will not work without electricity. Battery operated devices will not work without batteries, with dead or insufficiently charged batteries, or if the batteries are not installed properly. Devices powered solely by AC power will not function properly if their AC power supply is interrupted, however briefly, or cut off for any reason.
  • This equipment, like other electrical/electronic devices, is subject to component failure. Even though this equipment is tested at the factory prior to shipment and designed to last as long as 20 years when properly maintained, the electronic components could fail at any time.
  • As with other electrical/electronic devices, power surges, spikes, and brown-outs can cause circuitry to suddenly malfunction and/or fail.  Effective surge protection is necessary to avoid potential damage to the electronics of this system.
  • The valve is designed to provide positive shut-off of the plumbing water supply when disconnected from power. However, if the valve becomes corroded or blocked due to abnormal sediment, scale, or other internal water line material build-up, the valve may not function properly when needed. A regular valve testing procedure is strongly recommended.
  • The most common reason of water control failure is due to inadequate maintenance. We strongly recommend that this system be tested at least monthly to verify that the system and all its components and accessories are working properly.

An automatic water shut-off system is not intended to substitute for adequate property insurance or proper home or facilities maintenance.

Warranty Extension

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and is transferable to any succeeding owner for products purchased for use within the USA. In Alaska and Hawaii, the warranty excludes the cost of shipping repair or replacement parts.

Applicable Law

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary depending on where you reside.
